Nomination & Lay Leadership Team
For January – December 2021
In the sermon, “Become A Servant,” we learned that it is not enough just to have a servant’s mentality. We must also be willing to serve with a determination to help. Giving of our time. Giving of our energy. Giving of our resources -- and giving of ourselves. The Bible teaches us that -- “God loves a cheerful giver.”
One of the things that I firmly believe is that each and every one of us -- is gifted from God, and we are called to serve in some way, at some time, and in some space in our lives. In the Body of Christ, the Holy Spirit uniquely gifts us -- and calls us all into service.
At the end of this year, we will be electing some new leaders. And I’m asking you over these next few days to be prayerful about what if there’s such a call on your life -- to serve your church family in leadership. I invite each of you to go out to our Website or Church App to find all of the available opportunities for leadership and their responsibilities.
Beginning September 1 thru 23, nominations will be received online. If you would like to nominate someone, a Leadership Nomination Form has been provided. Or if you have an interest, please submit the Leadership Interest Form. Remember, because you may have served before or nominated someone before, does not mean you cannot be nominated again.
We have a very safe and effective way of doing interviews, while social distancing. I’m going to ask you to be prayerful, and to follow God’s lead. One of the greatest things we rely upon in our church family is to call leaders to sit at the table to help us discern God’s will.
