Music and the Arts

Here at Wesley, Music and the Arts are an integral part of our weekly worship experience as well as special and seasonal celebrations. We strive to empower believers to spread the good news of the Gospel through artistic expression and we encourage people to offer their gifts with excellence in praise to our Almighty God. The Music and the Arts seeks to promote not only deepening relationships with Jesus Christ, but also more profound relationships with one another. Opportunities for involvement include multiple vocal ensembles, instrumental opportunities, contemporary worship, Scripture readers, drama, visual arts and more. All who desire to participate in this robust ministry are encouraged to do so regardless of skill or experience. Musical Opportunities

Chancel Choir: Rehearses Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:30pm. This ensemble provides musical leadership and presents choral anthems for musical offerings primarily for the Sunday morning 10:45am worship service. The choir also presents special seasonal music for other events and worship services, including one major concert per year.

Praise Team: Rehearses the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This ensemble provides musical leadership and presents contemporary music primarily for the Sunday morning 10:45am worship service. The ensemble also presents special seasonal music for other events and worship services.

Male Chorus: Rehearses every other Fridays at 6:00pm to 7:00pm. This men’s group prepares music in a variety of styles for worship, approximately once per month, typically the 10:45am worship service, as well as other events including outreach in the community.

Youth & Children Choir: Rehearses the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 6:00pm. This ensemble presents music approximately once per month for a variety of worship services.

Liturgical Dance Ministry: Rehearses Thursdays 6:00pm - 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. This ensemble provides inspiring and uplifting dance ministry during worship experience.
